Long gone are the days of needing to rely on a web development company to make the changes to your website for you. If your current website was not built using a content management system, you are not leveraging the control over your website that you should be.

A content management system (CMS) is a software application that can be used to manage the creation and modification of digital content. CMS software can be extremely powerful, but at a minimum, organizations use them to manage text and embed graphics, photos, video and audio files. The most popular CMS platforms are open source. This means that the underlying code is available to see so developers can create their own software to work within that platform. This is similar to apps for your phone.
