Google's Revised Privacy Policy

Late in January, Google announced that they had revised their privacy policy, making it easier for people to read and understand. So, how did they do? Is there anything new that you should be concerned about?

Google’s vision has always been user-centered and humbly transparent. That being said, this revision of their privacy policy is actually a great move for them, especially since they have so much cached information about its users. It’s important in the information age, where corporations like Facebook and Google have arguably more information on you than the government does, to be as transparent as possible to avoid user exploitation and the revised privacy policy does just that.

We at Webconnection encourage you to read both the Google privacy policy and terms of service. They’re easy to read, and will help you better understand what exactly Google does with your information.

We also encourage you to keep up to date with tech blogs, as they can keep you informed and give you many different perspectives on big annoucements like this. Engadget, Mashable, and Tech Crunch are great places to start.
