Professional Web Interface Design

Dr. William Monaco is an optometrist who specializes in examining pilots for their annual visual certification. He located his office near an international airport in effort to maximize the number of pilots exposed to his practice. Dr. Monaco approached WebConnection to design a web site that would encourage pilots to contact him. FlightSight did not have any existing materials such as a logo or color palette; therefore the design established in this web site would be implemented in all future materials.

The first step was to create brand guidelines that established rules for fonts, colors and logo treatments. The logo was developed using Adobe PhotoShop and Macromedia Freehand. This design, a visual interpretation of Dr. Monaco's specialty, was created using two colors to minimize printing costs. The fonts and colors we selected present a modern, professional and corporate image, consistent with the branding strategies of many organizations within the airline community.

On the homepage we created a Professional Web Interface Design by using a collage of photographs that portray both literal and metaphorical representations of vision and flight. These visual icons reinforce the importance of requiring airline pilots to have healthy vision. Each page, within the web site, uses a portion of the homepage collage. This approach brings a unique element to every page.
